Job Title: AWS Data Engineer

Job Description:

Hands-on Senior Engineer with experience working within high-performance development teams
Significant AWS Engineering experience implementing Amazon''s well-architected frameworks, and serverless solutions and improving existing platforms using AWS technologies with Agile delivery methods
Demonstrable experience with Python 3, Python data management/manipulation libraries and usage of Python with AWS components
Demonstrable experience working in the Data domain, covering the full data pipeline from ingestion, mastering, management and consumption/distribution of large datasets
Financial Services expertise preferred working with Equity and Fixed Income asset classes and a working knowledge of Indices
Experience with No-SQL and Relational databases and data analysis using SQL.

Education & Work experience:

7+ years of AWS and Python development engineer experience within the Financial Services and Data domains
Bachelor’s Degree in MIS, Computer Science, or IT-related field or equivalent IT-related experience.

IT Skills

Deep experience with AWS solutions, incl. Step Functions, Glue, Lambda, RDS, (e.g. Dynamo db, Aurora Postgres), SQS, API Gateway, Athena.
Experience of Python
Experience in the delivery and optimization of high-performance data pipelines from ingestion to storage to distribution
Comfortable with data analysis and SQL
Familiar with DevOps practises, implementation of infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Cloud formation or Terraform, usage of CI/CD pipelines for efficient and automated test and deployment processes
Familiar with container technologies
