About The Role

As a Lead Angular Engineer, you will lead the design and implementation of high-performance Angular, and leverage your in-depth knowledge of Angular and performance optimization techniques to ensure applications deliver exceptional user experiences

Reporting to the VP of Engineering, you will be part of the Enterprise Architect Team who are responsible for identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks.

What you will do

Lead the design and implementation of high-performance Angular applications, ensuring they meet Core Web Vitals metrics.
Collaborate with architects and designers to ensure application architecture prioritizes performance.
Translate performance requirements into actionable technical specifications for Angular development.
Champion the use of Angular performance best practices throughout the development lifecycle
Implement performance optimization techniques during development to address potential bottlenecks proactively.
Analyze application behaviours using performance profiling tools to identify bottlenecks in rendering, data fetching, or change detection.
Champion the importance of performance optimization throughout the development lifecycle.

Who you are

Proficient in Angular and its design principles; familiar with React, Vue.s.
Proficient with Angular CLI, Nx and modern build tooling for efficient development workflows.
Proficient in performance profiling and optimization techniques: web vitals (LCP, FID, CLS), lazy loads, build size reduction, API latency optimization, HTTP2 usage, GraphQL.
Understanding of effective caching strategies for both browser and server-side components.
Proficiency in performance profiling tools:

o Mastery of browser developer tools like Chrome Performance Monitor or similar for in-depth profiling and analysis.
o Experience using additional performance profiling tools specific to the Angular framework.
o Ability to interpret profiling data effectively to pinpoint performance bottlenecks.
