We have an exciting new opportunity for a Shopify Lead Developer to join our Technology team here at UNRVLD. You will be responsible for contributing to the implementation and maintaining of e-commerce websites built on the Shopify platform.

As the Lead Shopify Developer, you will be a key part of driving this function of the business forward by working in a multi-disciplinary production team (potentially spanning multiple projects) and day to day will work closely with Technical Team Leads and other developers. You will also be expected to be customer facing and comfortable attending client meetings to talk about the platform.

Day to day will include writing Javacsript, HTML, CSS code based on user stories, building and maintaining custom Shopify integrations, guiding UX/design team around the limitations of an implementation, specifically when using Liquid templates, and attending sprint ceremonies to keep the team informed on progress.

This role will be spread across the business giving you the opportunity to engage with third parties, assist other team members and involvement in the new business process, meeting clients to discuss what Shopify has to offer!

Key responsibilities:

Develop and maintain Shopify implementations
Develop and extend Shopify themes, plugins and apps for Shopify as well as integrating with 3rd party platforms if required
Contribute to internal development practices to increase quality and improve code reusability on the Shopify platform
Propose and demonstrate approaches to Shopify implementations which would improve company deliverables
Work closely with Design/CX teams to assess visual interfaces and feedback on feasibility within Shopify and help determine which approach (Liquid, Hydrogen, Storefront API) is suitable
Work with Technical Team Leads and Project Managers to create, estimate and progress technical tasks
Participate in daily stand-ups and provide accurate updates on progress
Involvement in customer meetings / new biz process
Provide feedback, coaching and mentoring support to team members
Drive your own personal and professional development to stay up to date with the Shopify platform and newly released features.

Experience required:

Experience working as a Senior/Lead Shopify Developer
Experience working in a digital agency managing multiple projects
Advanced knowledge of the Shopify platform and implementation models
Customization of Shopify themes
Creating Shopify Apps
Understanding of Shopify Markets
Advanced experience of using Shopify API’s
Experience of being customer facing and presenting platform approaches pro’s / cons
